Gobloilings is a turn-based strategy game that follows the Digger and the Pusher in their quest to slay the goblins before they eat through the world's oil supply.
Unity, C#
Gobloilings was originally created for a WPI-hosted game jam over the course of a week in a team of four. After placing 2nd in the game jam, we continued development in order to incorporate all the mechanics from our original concept. We ultimately published a web build and a Windows build showcasing what we accomplished in a month. We went on to present the game at WPI's Showfest where our booth was constantly flooded with players competing for high scores. I was one of two programmers on the team, and contributed to nearly every game system we developed.
Programmed enemy pathfinding and AI
Designed and implemented the game UI
Worked extensively on the combat system
Developed the score system
Fixed bugs across all game systems
My Unity proficiency significantly increased from this project, as it had many moving parts and systems that required intelligent design choices and extensive programming in order to get working. Working in a team also created many opportunities to learn from peers and generally increase my understanding of C# and the Unity API.
