A series of minigames developed to explore game design concepts such as game feel, puzzle design, self-documentation, and iterative design. They can all be played in browser.

All three minigames were developed for class in JavaScript with the Perlenspiel instrument. They were all designed iteratively via recurrent playtesting feeback given by peers, mainly through surveys. Inkblot Sandbox was my submission to our first assignment: creating interactive media that was purposeless yet satisfying to play with, making it more of a toy then a game. Water My Supposed To Do? was created for our puzzle game task, in which we had to create a game that taught the player new mechanics without utilizing text or directions. Unhaunt the Mansion was an open-ended assignment, with the only directive being that we explore mechanics that we hadn't in previous assignments. This game includes an unique flashlight mechanic along with a highscore saving system.

SFX design
Working on these games was a great practice of various game design concepts that can be found in the development of any game. These projects helped me develop my iterative design skills and led to me learning a great deal of JavaScript. Perlenspiel allowed me to work through ideas quickly which led to a lot of unique and polished mechanics, teaching me the importance of prototyping and playtesting.
